Jama’tu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad, it’s the official name of Boko Haram, meaning “people who are committed to the teachings of prophet and Jihads”in Arabic. They propagate a motto through the Islamic words “Boko”, which means Westhern, and “Haram”, which means forbidden. Simply “boko haram” together mean “Western Development is forbidden” by Islamic teachings. Therefor as the name implies, they believe that western development has corrupted the moral values of muslims, especially girls, which led to several attacks in girls’ boarding-schools. Like for example the attack at Chibok in April where over two hundred girls were abducted by the same Islamic sect which at the same time is threatening to enslave all of them permanently by marrying them. At this juncture the Nigeria government terrified and with no choice, has sought the international assistance to fight the war against terrorism in the country. After which about 80 U.S. soldiers were deployed in Nigeria to help into whereabouts of the missing girls and as well reinforce the country’s security system. Despite of the effort been made by the Government to restore normality in the country diverse attacks still persist, proving that Boko Haram does not only have a fighting force of thousand of men, but also, of bombing, paradoxically. Moreover,majority of the fighters are made up of Kanuri’s ethnic group and to follow Chadians,Somalians and Sudanese rebels whose bases are in the Sambisa forest along the border between Nigeria and Cameroon.
Will be there ever peace in Nigeria? Will never change Nigeria without violence? Yes there will, if the Government will understand that protection of lives and property are the first priority of any existing Government; if the government will learn to put the interest of its citizens far above every other thing; reducing poverty rate by facilitating an educational program that enhances the participation of both richs and poors, urbans and rurals citizens of the country. Without those, life will always be threaten in the country.

Jama’tu Ahlis Sunna wal-Jihad Lidda’awati, è il nome ufficiale di Boko Haram, che significa “le persone che si impegnano per gli insegnamenti del Profeta e della Jihad” in arabo. Propagano un motto attraverso le parole islamiche “Boko”, che significa Occidentale, e “Haram”, che significa proibito. Semplicemente “Boko Haram”, insieme, significa “lo sviluppo occidentale è proibito” dagli insegnamenti islamici. Quindi, come suggerisce il nome, gli esponenti di questo gruppo credono che lo sviluppo occidentale abbia corrotto i valori morali dei musulmani, in particolare delle ragazze e ciò ha portato a diversi attacchi nei collegi femminili. Come per esempio l’attacco a Chibok nel mese di aprile, dove oltre duecento ragazze sono state rapite dalla stessa setta islamica che allo stesso tempo minaccia di ridurle tutte in schiavitù permanentemente sposandole. Per questo il governo della Nigeria, terrorizzato e senza scelta, ha cercato gli aiuti internazionali sono stati dispiegati in Nigeria per aiutare nella località delle ragazze scomparse e rafforzare il sistema di sicurezza del Paese. Nonostante gli sforzi compiuti dal governo per ripristinare la normalità nel paese diversi attacchi persistono, dimostrando che Boko Haram non ha solo una forza di combattimento di migliaia di uomini, ma anche di bombardamento, paradossalmente. Inoltre, la maggioranza dei combattenti è costituito da gruppo etnico dei Kanuri e a seguire ciadiani, somali e ribelli sudanesi le cui basi si trovano nel bosco Sambisa lungo il confine tra la Nigeria ed il Camerun.
Ci sarà mai pace in Nigeria? Potrà mai cambiare la Nigeria senza violenza ? Sì ci sarà, se il governo capirà che la tutela della vita e della proprietà sono la prima priorità di qualsiasi governo esistente; se il governo capirà come mettere l’interesse dei suoi cittadini molto al di sopra di tutto; riducendo il tasso di povertà, favorendo un programma educativo che migliori la partecipazione sia dei cittadini ricchi, sia dei cittadini poveri, delle aree urbane e rurali del paese. Senza questo, la vita sarà sempre minacciata nel paese.
